Agnes Bailey 1906 - 2007 Agnes was born on February 10, 1906, the daughter of Nels and Anna (Peterson) Hellerud in Decorah, Iowa. She was reared and educated in the Decorah area, moving with her family to Egg Creek Township, McHenry County, ND at the age of 11. In 1923, the family moved to Riga Township. On March 5, 1924, she was united in marriage to Roy "Clyde" Bailey in Towner, ND. They lived and ranched one half mile north of Clyde's father's homestead. Together they were active in the ranch, haying and cattle operations until 1992, when they retired. In 1999, they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Clyde died June 30, 2000. In September of 2003 she entered Trinity Homes. Agnes was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid both of Granville, and Prairie Rose Homemakers, of Denbigh. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, gardening and playing cards. She loved to entertain and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by: Sons: Joe (Myrtice) Bailey, Towner, ND, Jerry (Linda) Bailey, Towner, ND: daughters: Annabelle (Clifford) McBeth, Towner, ND, Jenell (Kenneth) Rollman, Minot, daughter-in-law, Rosemary Bailey, Towner, ND; 11 grandchildren: Robert Bailey, Terry (Kathy) Bailey, Jon (Betty) Bailey, Randy (Joan) Bailey, Sheila (Keith) Hanson, Darwin (Judy) Moen, Carolyn (Harlon) Kingsley, Claudia (Gerald) Olson, Carter (Delilah) McBeth, Allan (Joni) Bailey, Sheryl (Jack) Nelson; 33 great-grandchildren: 9 great-great grandchildren: numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, sons Jon and Vernon, daughter Shirley (Lloyd) Moen, grandsons Keith Rollman, Larry Bailey, brothers Nordan, Stener, Ole and Lloyd, and sisters Marie Woods and Palma Bacon.
