Marilynn J. Baer, 59, Minot, died peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2009 in her home.

Marilynn J. Turner was born on March 25, 1950, the daughter of Louis and Ethel (Willert) Turner in Fargo, ND. She was raised and educated in Fargo and Minot.

She was once married to LaVerne Kreger. To this union three children were born, Richard, William and Michael. Later she married Dennis Baer.

Marilynn worked as a teacher, a job that she truly enjoyed. She also enjoyed working with animals, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Billie Jo) Kreger and their children, Sarah, Levi and Logan, Clear Lake, SD, William Kreger and his children, Emily and Wylie, Minot, and Michael Kreger and his daughter Brooke, Minot; mother, Ethel Turner, Sawyer; brothers, Don (Nancy) Turner, Glasgow, MT, and Ed (Pam) Turner, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her father, Louis.

Visitation: Monday, June 15, 2009 from 1-7 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 11 am at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Sawyer, ND

Burial: Tuesday at 1:30 at Goodhope Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Sawyer, ND

Immediately following the funeral service there will be lunch and fellowship in the lower level of the church.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:30. There will be no formal procession.

Marilynn's family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. May God bless the memory of Marilynn.
