Sharon Badke 1941 - 2003 Sharon Badke, 62, Upham, ND, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003, in a Minot hospital. She was born February 6, 1941, in Minot, ND the daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Woods) Lund. She was raised in Granville and Kottke Valley Township and attended school in Granville. She married Maurice Badke on February 28, 1958. The couple made their home in Upham. Sharon worked at the Upham grocery store and cleaned houses at the Minot Air Force Base. In 1978, she started cooking at the Upham School and remained there for 25 years until ill health forced her to retire in March of 2003. During the summers from 1999-2002, she worked at the Coffee Cup Cafe in Newberg. Maurice died in 1998. Sharon's pride and joy was her family. She cooked for them every Sunday. Her grandchildren were very special to her and enjoyed their many different activities and made many special memories together. Her second set of grandchildren, the students, knew her as "Grandma Sharon". She was also known throughout the community for her homemade bread and caramel rolls. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, Upham where she was active with the WELCA, Goodwill Circle, Altar Guild and taught Sunday school and Confirmation. Survivors: daughters, Debbie Christianson and her fiancé Scott Zietz, Minot and Lisa (Steve) Plorin, Upham; four grandchildren, Chris (Cari) Christianson, Lignite, Zac Christianson, Kortni Plorin and Brooke Plorin; great-grandchild, Jacob Christianson; sisters; Vereen Karath, Granville, and Francis (John) Vennink, Houston, MO; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and special niece, Barbara Jo. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Victor, Joseph and John Lund, sisters, Louisa Albright and Joyce Johnson. Memorial Service: Saturday, November 15, 2003, at 11
a.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church, Upham. Memorials: A scholarship fund will be established in
