Betty Atherton • 1946- 2006 Betty Lucille Ziebarth was born on January 14, 1946, the daughter of Elmer and Lucille (Oliver) Ziebarth in Tagus, ND. She was reared and educated in the Tagus and Berthold area's, graduating from Berthold High School in 1965. On August 1, 1969, she was united in marriage to Warren Atherton in Minot. She worked various jobs around Minot, before moving to Stanley in 1996. She then went to work for Mountrail Bethel Home until ill health forced her to retire. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, sewing, canning, gardening, and spending time having coffee with friends. She also collected cookie jars, and rabbit figurines. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by: Husband of 37 years, Warren, Stanley; daughters: Emily Atherton and her companion, Roger "Jay" Dietrich, Velva, ND; Mary (Joseph) Zuck, Sawyer, ND; son: Ben Atherton and his companion, Kelly Borchardt, Minot, ND; five grandchildren: Ashley, Desirae, Josie, Cassandra, and Katelynn Zuck; brother: Elmer "J.R." (Marlene) Ziebarth Jr., Surrey, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Betty was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation: Wednesday, May 24, 2006 from noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Funeral Service: Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Berthold, ND Burial: Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND Officiant: Rev.
