Dorothy T. Arnott 1928 - 2003

Dorothy T. Arnott, 79, 3205 10th St. SW, Apt. A9, Minot, died Friday, September 26, 2003, in a Minot hospital.

Dorothy was born May 8, 1924, in Karlsruhe, ND, the daughter of Clemens and Mary (Steier) Weninger. She attended country grade school near Balfour and then Granville High School. As a young lady Dorothy worked at Eagle Grocery Store, Coffee Cup Café and later Alm's Café, all in Minot.

Dorothy was once married to Lloyd Apland. On September 14, 1950, she married John Westlie Arnott in Minot, ND. Following their marriage they made their home in Minot, and she stayed home to raise her family. Her husband John died on September 26, 1988.

Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, where she volunteered at the food pantry, and was a member of St. Louise's Circle, and also the Bible study group. Dorothy also volunteered at St. Leo's Catholic School Library, Minot in the early 1970's. She was a member of Easter Seals and was an avid card player.

Survivors: Children, John (Sharon) Apland, Sr., Phyllis Wilson, Jerry (Gladys) Arnott, all of Minot, Jim (Donna) Arnott, and Carol Mullikin, all of Surrey; eleven grandchildren, JoAnn Kemaldean, John (Pauline) Apland, Jamie Apland, Jason (Jessica) Apland, Chad (Mariya) Wilson, Chase (Allison) Wilson, Sarah Arnott, Dawn Amon, James Arnott, Jon Arnott and Brady Mullikin; 11 great-grandchildren, Josh, Bambi, Ambyr, Sammy, Cody, Tahnee, Aiana, Derek, Dillon, Danny and Tyler; one great-great- grandchild, Jordan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Westlie Arnott; her parents, Clemens and Mary Weninger; brothers, John and Albert Weninger; infant sister, Elizabeth Weninger; and infant brother, Joseph Weninger.

Funeral: Tuesday, September 30, 2003, 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, ND.

Visitation and Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, September 29, 2003, from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the vigil prayer service Monday at 7:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
