Donna Appelt • 1933- 2005 Donna Mae Appelt, 72, 109 7th Ave. NE, Minot, ND, died Sunday, October 16, 2005, in her home. Donna Mae Narum was born on May 27, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Hilda (Myren) Narum in Sanish, North Dakota. She was raised and educated there and graduated from Sanish High School in 1951. Following her high school graduation, she attended Minot Business College, where she graduated with honors in 1957. Donna was married to Gerald Appelt on March 15, 1962, in Velva, ND. They made their home in Minot, where she worked for Westland Oil as a bookkeeper in the early 60's. She then worked as a bookkeeper for Minot Sash & Door in the early 1980's. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot, and the Strawberry Lake Association for the past 30 years. For many years, she played in the Minot Pool League. She enjoyed playing pool, reading, spending time at her cabin at Strawberry Lake, and making people happy. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Surviving family includes: husband of 43 years, Gerald, Minot, sons, David (Vivian) Appelt, Arlington Heights, Ill, and Mark (Jodi) Appelt, Minot; grandchildren, Rebecca, and Victoria Appelt, and Chelsy, Kaily, and Caden Appelt; sister, Bernice Houser, New Town, ND; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren Narum, and sister, Lucille Kottsick. Funeral: Thursday, October 20, 2005, at 11:00 a.m.
