Yolande Sonia Anderson
• 1934 - 2003 Yolande Sonia Anderson, 69, Westhope, ND, formerly of Sherwood, ND, died Friday, December 19, 2003, at a Westhope nursing home. Yolande was born on May 28, 1934, in rural Kenmare, ND, the daughter of George J. and Augusta M. (Swenson) Moller. She was reared and educated in the Kenmare area and graduated from Kenmare High School in 1952. After graduation she attended Minot Teachers College where she received her teachers certificate in 1954. Yolande taught for several years in small towns in North Dakota, Chester, MT, and Days Creek, OR. In 1968, she moved to Sherwood to teach. On June 28, 1969, Yolande was united in marriage to Paul Anderson in Sherwood where the couple made their home. Yolande was a gifted singer who sang and played her guitar whenever she could, in church, while she was substitute teaching, or for her pleasure to praise God. She was also a talented artist. She loved to go on Sunday drives or longer trips because she had a fun loving adventurous spirit. She loved reading, writing and was very proud of her children's accomplishments. She entered the Westhope nursing home on May 8, 1995, where she lived her remaining years. : husband, Paul, Sherwood; daughter, Juliet (Roy) De Rossi; son, John Anderson, all of Bellmore, NY; sister, Tamara Moller, New York, NY; five nieces and five nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George J. Moller. There will be no visitation. Burial: A private family burial took place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kenmare, ND.
