Viola L. Anderson • 1932 - 2008 Viola Turner was born July 14, 1932 in Humboldt, MN, the daughter of Eldon and Mildred (Heatherly) Turner. She was raised in that area and graduated from Hallock High School in Hallock, MN. Following graduation she attended the New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo. She moved back to Minot and married Robert D. Anderson on September 22, 1968. Vi first worked at Goldia's Beauty Shop in Minot, but continued working as a hairdresser at various Minot beauty shops for 52 years until her retirement. Her husband Robert died on October 30, 1971. Vi was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star, Venus Chapter #14 O.E.S. and a member of the Minot Shrine Auxiliary. Those who shared in her life, several cousins and numerous friends along with her prized kitty, Cody. Vi was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral: Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. Memorials are preferred to Souris Valley Animal Shelter or the Shriners of North Dakota.
