Tillie Anderson • 1919 - 2006 Tillie Gensburg was born May 6, 1919, the daughter of John and Emelia (Grenz) Gensburg in Napoleon, ND. She was raised and educated in Jamestown, ND. She had worked as a retail clerk at Red Owl Grocery Store and then at a pharmacy in Jamestown. When she moved to Minot, she worked for Sullivan's floral and then at Ann's Fashion Store. Tillie married Thomas Anderson. Tom passed away on November 24, 1976. She has continued to reside in Minot. Tillie was a member of the Elks, Eagles and Moose Lodges, the Ladies Auxillary of VFW post #753. She loved baking and sharing with others. She enjoyed traveling to Seattle, WA, to visit her family. Surviving family includes: sisters, Dorothy Schubert, Seattle, WA, Millie Sicard, Menlo Park, CA, and Betty Apple, Memphis, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, John, Wally, Bart and Eddie Gensburg; sisters, Pat Schrankel, Virginia Soatzer, Marion Wiehoff, and Katherine Bergstrom.
