Theresa Anderson • 1920 - 2004

Theresa "Terry" Anderson, 84, 301 14th Ave. SW, Minot, formerly of Velva, died Monday, November 15, 2004 in a Velva Nursing Home.

Theresa was born on October 21, 1920 in Norwich, the daughter of Wendelin and Clementine (Boechler) Burckhard. She was reared and educated on a farm near Norwich. She married Alvin "Kenny" Anderson on March 3, 1944 in Laredo, Texas and lived in Velva, ND until 1967 when they moved to Minot. In 1969 they moved to Bismarck, ND until 1973, when they moved back to Minot. Her husband preceded her in death on July 18, 1982. She continued to live in Minot until very recently, when she entered the Souris Valley Care Center in Velva.

Theresa was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva.

Theresa was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing needlepoint projects. She also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and spending her summers with her granddaughters at Strawberry Lake.

When her sons were growing up in Velva, her greatest joy was attending their baseball games and she continued that love for baseball watching the "Yankees" and "Braves" on TV.

Survivors: son, Richard (Bev) Anderson, Minot; granddaughters, Nicole and Jessica Anderson; sister, Dorothy Bossert, Karlsruhe; brother, Michael Burckhard, Reno, NV. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin "Kenny" sons, Stevie and Robert Anderson; sisters, Regina Dettling, Veronica Burckhard, Elizabeth "Betty" Burckhard, brothers, Matt, Phillip, Larry and Albert Burckhard.

Funeral: Friday, November 19, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva, ND

Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday, November 18, 2004, at 7 p.m. at the Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Visitation: Thursday, November 18, 2004 from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Velva, ND
