Lyle Warren Anderson 1922 - 2005 Lyle Warren Anderson, 83, 492 Wind Meadows, Altamonte Springs, FL, formerly of Powers Lake, ND, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005 in his home with his family present. Lyle was born on August 10, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Trygve and Irene (Gee) Anderson. He grew up in Powers Lake. He graduated from North Dakota State University where he had a full football scholarship. Lyle then served in the United States Navy achieving the rank of Chief Gunners Mate during World War II. He married Dorothy Rohe within two months of his return from the Navy. They moved back to North Dakota where he became a North Dakota Highway Patrolman. After he resigned from the N.D.H.P., he moved his family to California and attended the California College of Mortuary Science. He graduated in 1953 and moved his family to Winter Park, Florida where he became a partner with his brother-in-law, Morris Parker and Ryland Cox in the Cox-Parker Funeral Home. He retired from Cox-Parker but continued to assist families until his health failed. He was a member of the Elks Club, the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion, all in Winter Park. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; he was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and a charter member of the Bahia Temple, all in Orlando, FL. Survivors: Wife, Dorthy Anderson; his sons, Michael (Ann) Anderson, and Dana (Mary) Anderson; his daughters, Michele Anderson (Ron) Field and JoAnn Porch; his seven grandchildren and his three great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held Friday, October 21, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Carey Hand Cox - Parker Funeral Home, Winter Park, FL.
