Kenneth M. Anderson 1927 - 2005 Kenneth M. Anderson, 77, 19110 42nd St. NE, Glenburn, ND, died Friday, August 12, 2005 in a Minot Medical Center. Kenneth was born on November 22, 1927, in Tatman Township, Ward County, the son of Swen and Ruth (Blomberg) Anderson. He attended school in Tatman Township until moving to Minot with his family in 1936, where he attended school. His mother died in 1937. During the 1940's, Ken worked as a farm laborer on many farms in the area. On October 25, 1950, Ken married Lois Dorothy Fuchs in Minot. They made their home in Tatman Township, Ward County where they had dairy cattle, ranch cattle and farmed small grains. He was looking forward to getting out in the field this fall for harvest. Kenneth enjoyed working with horses. He raised registered
Arabians and Belgians. He enjoyed doing daily chores and giving
annual sleigh rides with them. He was proud member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Glenburn where he had served as a trustee. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie and the Loyal Order of Moose, both Minot. Ken had a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors: wife, Lois Anderson, Glenburn, children, Craig (Sherry) Anderson, Bismarck, Trudy (Alvin "Buzz") Varty, Glenburn, Rod Anderson, Glenburn and Stephanie (Frank) Fitzgerald, Sawyer; seven grandchildren: Vegas (Johanna) Varty, Dallas Varty and Austin (Jenn) Varty, Codi Anderson, Colby Anderson and Katelyn Fitzgerald and Tyrel Fitzgerald. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Swen and Ruth Anderson, brother, Maynard Anderson and sisters, Judy Ahmann and Ethel Heilman. Funeral: Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Glenburn, ND Prayer Service: Monday, August 15, 2005 at 7 p.m. at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Glenburn, ND Burial: St. Philomena Catholic Cemetery, Glenburn, ND Visitation: Monday, August 15, 20005 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot and starting at 6 p.m. at the church in Glenburn.
