Anderson 1956 - 2005
Jeanine was born March 24, 1956, in Crosby, ND, the daughter of Gordon and Janice (Gardner) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Columbus until her junior year when she moved with her family to Velva. She attended Velva High School where she graduated in 1974. Following graduation she worked at Trinity Hospital in Minot for a time. She later moved to Bismarck where she was employed at the Baptist Home for one year. While in Bismarck she was also a personal care attendant for a disabled girl. She lived in Bismarck until her roommate, Tracy Scott died in a car accident. Following that tragedy, she returned to Velva. She worked at the Ranch House Café in Sawyer for a time. On July 17, 1981 she married Laurence "Laurie" Anderson in the small chapel at Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva, ND. Following their marriage they made their home in Velva where together they raised their family. In the summer of 1994 she helped at the family business, Erv's Conoco in Velva, during the illness and death of her mother-in-law, Phyllis Anderson. Jeanine spoiled her children and was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a member of the Velva Pool League and was an avid bowler for many years. She loved playing cards, fishing and spending time with her many friends. Those Who Shared In Her Life: Husband, Laurence "Laurie" Anderson, Velva; children, Trevor Laurence, Tamary Rose and Timothy Gordon Anderson, all of Velva; step-daughter, Melissa (Richard) Dwinnell of Velva; grandchildren, Brandon and William Dwinnell; parents, Gordon and Janice Johnson, Velva; brother, Darrel Johnson, Burlington, and his sister-in-law, Danene Harkness of Minot; father-in-law, Ervin Anderson, Velva; maternal grandfather, Orville Gardner, Minot; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ailsa (Scott) Olenberger, Devils Lake, John (Sandra) Anderson, Minneapolis, MN, David (Mary) Anderson, Louisville, KY, Mary (Dan) Willert, Devils Lake, and James (Julie) Anderson, Velva; special niece, Alaina Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, Dean (Donnella) Johnson, Pick City, Evelyn Holte, McGregor and Ilene (Norman) Huff, Columbus, Faye (Floyd) Nygaard, Mesa, AZ, Allen (Gwen) Gardner, of California, and Ron Gardner and fiancée, Deni Morgan of Idaho; several cousins and special friends, Lori Britton, and her daughter, Jessica Carow, and Crystal Hystad all of Velva. Jeanine was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Rose Gardner; her paternal grandparents, George and Inga Johnson; sister-in-law, Cheryl Johnson; mother-in-law, Phyllis Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rosemary "Pixie" Anderson, Philip Anderson, Alan Anderson, Rita Anderson, and Susan Anderson. Funeral: Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva, ND. Visitation and vigil prayer service: Monday, September 5, 2005, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Velva, ND, with the vigil prayer service Monday at 7:00 p.m., at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva.
