Frances E. Albertson 1920- 2010

Frances E. Alberston PhotoFrances E. Albertson, 90, Minot, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in a Minot nursing home.

Frances E. Levchenko was born May 8, 1920, at Max, ND to Michael and Daisy Levchenko.  She was raised and educated in Max.

In 1941, Frances married Charles E. Mattern.  To this union they had a set of twins that passed away and a son, Charles Mattern.  Her husband Charles died during World War II.  In 1945 she married Morton Albertson and together they had two daughters, Cheryl and LeAnn.  Morton died in 1956.

Frances later entered the Kenmare Baptist Home, where she lived for two years, and the last five years she was a resident at Trinity Homes in Minot. 

Frances enjoyed gardening.

Those who shared in her life:  Son, Charles Mattern and daughter, LeAnn Ahmann, both in Minot;  eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren sisters, Emma Thompson, Minot, and Lorraine Morris, Rapid City, SD; numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles E. Mattern and Morton Albertson; infant twins; daughter, Cheryl Whorley; one brother, six sisters and a great-grandchild Myndy Gilchrist.

Funeral:  Thursday, September 9, 2010, at 11 am at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Thursday from 9 until service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Officiant: Rev. Luther C. Hanson, Chaplain, Trinity Homes
