Patrick James Aftem • 1958- 2010 Patrick J. Aftem, 52, 1304 7th Ave NW, Minot, and Newton, ND, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in his home. Pat was born on March 17, 1958 in Minot, ND, a son of Merle and Christine (Gefroh) Aftem. Patrick attended Little Flower Elementary School, Bishop Ryan High School, and Minot High School. He completed the Auto Technician Program at Bismarck Junior College in 1982. At the time of his death Pat was employed by Aftem Lake Development. Pat loved camping, fishing, any mechanical work and helping everyone he knew who was in need. Pat is survived by his mother, Christine Aftem, of Minot; brothers, David, of Bismarck, Tom, John and his wife, Val, Gerald, and his wife, Cena, all of Minot; sisters, Carla Aftem of Minot, and Kristi Mansfield and her husband, Carl, of Omaha, NE; and numerous nephews and nieces. He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life. Pat was preceded in death by his father, Merle Aftem. Funeral: Saturday, December 4, 2010, at 10:30 am at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
