Bev Adam 1936 - 2008 Beverly Ann Newman was born August 14, 1936, the daughter of Al and Laura (Storbeck) Newman in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1954. Following her high school graduation, Bev worked for Northern States Power Company as a secretary for a short time. Bev was married to Roland H. Baehm December 31, 1954, in Minot. From this union five children were born, Greg, Chuck, Roland "Skip", Todd and Kevin Baehm. The couple later divorced. Throughout the 1970's, Bev did specialized baking for various businesses and people in Minot. She started employment in 1979, with the American Inn Hotel as a manager. On January 10, 1981, Bev was united in marriage to LeRoy J. Adam in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she was employed by the International Inn as the executive housekeeper. She worked there for 22 years and retired on December 7, 2007. LeRoy passed away December 7, 2007. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, Minot Eagles Auxiliary, and was the president of her condo association. Bev and LeRoy enjoyed spending their summers at their cabin at Mouse River Park. Bev enjoyed reading, puzzles, and visiting with family and friends. Surviving family includes: sons, Gregory (Petra) Baehm, Chuck (Toni) Baehm, and Todd Baehm, all of Minot; daughter, Cheryl (Perry) Colebank, Fort Collins, CO; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Adam; sons, Roland "Skip" Baehm and Kevin Baehm; step-son, Terry Adam; brother, Ralph Newman; sister, Donna Cree.
