Wayde C. Abernathey 1964 - 2009

Wayde Abernathey PhotoWayde C. Abernathey, 45, Minot, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 in his home.

Wayde Carlton Abernathey was born November 12, 1964 in Minot, ND, the youngest child of Duane C. and O. Beryl (Pennington) Abernathey, Sr.  He was raised in Lansford and attended Lansford School.

He was once married to Sandra Ihli and to Julie Wagner.

From a very young age Wayde was into cars, pickups and motorcycles.  He would spend hours tinkering with and repairing his many “future” hotrods.  Most recently his attention was directed towards his beloved Harley.  Wayde thoroughly enjoyed his fellowship that came with the Gallows Motorcycle Club out of Towner, ND, which he joined this year.  His highlight of the summer was his dream trip on his bike to Sturgis.

Wayde’s enthusiasm and hyperness brought life to the Abernathey shop daily.  Whether he was working on his valued Peterbilt, or his latest fixer upper. Wayde Abernathey with motorcycle

His love for his family went without saying.  His son, Joseph, and his grandsons, Dryden and Collin were always in Wayde’s heart and mind.  He was recently looking forward for his annual early morning Black Friday shopping spree for Christmas gifts.
