I cannot tell you how saddened I am to hear of Ray's passing. Although I have not seen him in years, I have so many memories of (Ronald Regan) him and spending time with the whole Gergen clan.
I know that Ray and Annette were the glue that held that clan together and made you all who you are today. Your family has impacted my life as well and I will never forget him.
I wish I could be there to pay my respects to this wonderful man and his family.

Always - Stacy

To Ray's Family,

My family has known the Gergen family for many years dating back to Matt and Tone and my grandpa, John Schauer, at Turtle Lake. I have many fond memories of visiting the "old Gergen place". Many years later Ray started to do the cardboard pickup when I managed JoAnn Fabrics. We reminisced about many things from that house and it's inhabitants. Ray and my dad, Rueben Schauer, shared some times together also. Ray told me several stories about my dad. I always appreciated Ray's good humor, quick smile and a story of some sort. Even when I would run into him after he quit the cardboard run, he always remembered me. I'm sorry for your loss. Enjoy the many memories you have of Ray.

Dear Ann and family,

I am so very sorry to hear of Raymond's passing. You were wonderful neighbors all those years we lived at 712 Normal St. I always remember Ray's broad warm smile and big wave everytime I saw him in passing. God Bless all of you - my prayers are with you.

Sincerly,
Susan Sjaastad

Raymond attended school in Elbowoods in 1941. As most people know, this town is now under the waters of Lake Sakakawea. On behalf of Ray's classmates and friends from Elbowoods, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to his wife and children.

Requests: I just heard of Ray's passing and am truely saddened. Growing up I spent a lot of time with Ann in the Gergen household. It was a place of comfort and stability for me, and I appreciate the time I was able to spend there. Ray had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful father. My sympathy goes out to the entire Gergen family.
