B. Eugene "Ducky" Jensen • 1932 - 2010 Bolvin Eugene “Ducky” Jensen was born February 16, 1932 in Powers Lake, ND, to Bolvin J. and Birdie (Rooks) Jensen. At a young age he moved with his family to a farm north of Kenmare in Denmark Township, Ward County, where he attended country school and later Kenmare High School. Eugene married Joann Brekhus on March 5, 1954 at Sherwood, ND. They made their home on the family farm in Denmark Township, where they raised their family. He farmed his entire life and in 2009 they moved into Kenmare. Eugene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Kenmare. He enjoyed people and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling to visit family. Those who shared in his life, loving wife, Joann, Kenmare; son, Gary (Janna) Jensen, Devils Lake, ND; daughters, Jacki (Eric) Goetz, Ubly, MI, Vicki (Tom) Herman, Kenmare, ND, and Lori (Steven) Murray, Johnstown, CO; grandchildren, Jesse Jensen, Lucy Jensen, Michelle (Nick) Albin, Donald (Michelle) Poolaw, Michael (Ashley Cawley) Poolaw, Jason Herman and Jennifer Herman; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kiersten, Zachary, Xavier and Bentley; sisters, Janice Strong, Marleen (Fred) Pickett, Bonnie (Marlyn) Egger and Judy (Gary) Wirtz; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Patty (Ronald) Gilbertson; nephews, David Gilbertson, Brett Pickett and Scott Strong; great-niece, Amanda Egger. Funeral: Monday, September 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare, ND. Visitation: Sunday, September 5, 2010, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare, ND, and Monday one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kenmare, ND. Officiating Clergy: Rev.
