Engen Eckmann joined Thompson-Larson in 1972 as a Funeral Service Assistant while attending Minot State University. Engen, a Minot native, graduated from Minot High School in 1970 and attended Minot State University. In 1974, he took a leave of absence from the business to attend Mount Hood Community College in Greshem, Oregon, and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Funeral Service. Engen remains an active funeral director and partner at Thompson-Larson and brings a wealth of experience to the firm. He and his wife, Nancy, have two children: Ethan and Lyndsay.
